About

Judith Asher has a way of looking at the world, understanding it and being in it in a way that sheds light on the concealed and quirky elements of everyday life.
She practices graphic dialogues in a free and untraditional manner and her personal work addresses stories of tension and renewal.

A graduate of The Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Jerusalem and The Royal College of Art London. Born in Leeds, England she immigrated to Israel at a young age. The culture and linguistic fragmentation and the imperfection of the spoken language drove her to look for another kind of expression which is where she discovered illustration.
She has received several Awards, including The Ministry of Science and Culture Award. She is a senior lecturer at the Visual Communications department at the Holon Institute of Technology, Holon and the Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Jerusalem.

She lives and works on a Kibbutz with her family looking forward to travelling to the desert, making art, sowing seeds and feeling alive.
